Łukasz Proszek

Łukasz Proszek has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Łukasz started their career in 2005 as a Network/System Administrator at Bezdroza Publishing House, where they were responsible for administering the company's network infrastructure and maintaining servers. In 2006, they worked as a Probationary Teacher at II High School, teaching physics to children.

In 2009, Łukasz became a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Bioinformatics and Telemedicine at the Medical College, Jagiellonian University. Łukasz taught Computer Science, Statistics, and Signal Analysis to dentistry and computer science students. Łukasz also worked as an Instructor at the Medical School for Foreigners, Medical College, Jagiellonian University, preparing and teaching courses on scientific resources, e-health wiki research, article publishing, and medical data analysis.

In 2010, Łukasz joined Selvita as a Computational Chemist, where they set up and maintained computational servers, developed a Python framework for data analysis, and deployed and customized a chemical compound management system.

From 2013 to 2018, Łukasz worked at Lumesse, starting as a System Administrator responsible for implementing Ansible orchestration and managing production and staging environments. Łukasz then became a Senior Development Operations Engineer, where they automated distributed monitoring and ensured ITIL compliant change management. Finally, Łukasz served as the DevOps Team Lead, overseeing the team and implementing Ansible modules, among other responsibilities.

In 2018, Łukasz joined ZEN.COM as a DevOps Principal, where they focused on ensuring PCIDSS compliance and improving development operations procedures.

The same year, Łukasz also founded devops.best, where they worked as the Owner. Here, they developed Ansible modules for NSX-V management and MSSQL database provisioning, implemented Wazuh security information and event management, and introduced deployment standards. Łukasz also replaced hand-crafted Jenkins jobs with jobs and pipelines auto-created from JenkinsDSL.

Łukasz Proszek began their education at the II High School in Krakow from 1998 to 2002, where they focused on a Mathematics-Physics-Computer Science Profile. Łukasz then attended Jagiellonian University from 2002 to 2004, studying Computer Physics. From 2004 to 2009, they pursued a degree in Applied Computer Science at Jagiellonian University, obtaining their MSc. Later, they joined the Polska Akadamia Nauk - Instutut Podstawowych Problemów Techniki in 2009 and suspended their PhD in Computer Science in 2012.
