Allen Poma

Allen Poma, M.D., M.B.A. has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in clinical development. Allen is currently serving as the Vice President of Clinical Development at Zenas BioPharma since May 2021. Prior to this, they held the same title at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc. from January 2018 to May 2021. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as the VP of Clinical Development at Dimension Therapeutics. Before joining Dimension Therapeutics, they worked as a Senior Medical Director at TESARO from October 2011 to 2015. Allen also held positions as a Medical Director at AMAG Pharmaceuticals from June 2008 to October 2011 and as a Medical Director at Stryker from March 2006 to May 2008. Their career began at Yale University, where they served as a Faculty member from August 1998 to June 2006.

Allen Poma, M.D., M.B.A. completed their medical education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine from 1985 to 1990. During this time, they obtained their M.D. degree, specializing in Medicine. Later in their career, they pursued further education in finance and business, earning an M.B.A. degree with a focus on Finance from Columbia Business School between 2004 and 2006.
