Craig Bowers

Craig Bowers has over 14 years of experience in various technical roles. Craig'smost recent position was as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Zencore, where they focused on technical delivery and Google Cloud Reseller support. Craig worked with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and completed projects involving Anthos Service Mesh migration and Binary Authorization deployment. Prior to that, Craig worked at AHEAD as a Cloud Services Architect, specializing in Kubernetes Architecture, Design, Security, Networking, and Implementation. Craig also had hands-on involvement with engineering delivery projects on AWS and GCP, and delivered production-grade Kubernetes clusters. Before that, Craig worked at Cloudreach as a Sr. Cloud Systems Developer Lead, where they acted as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentored a small team. Craig also worked as a Sr. Cloud System Developer, focusing on helping clients migrate from on-premise to cloud infrastructure and guiding them to use cloud best practices. Craig's experience also includes roles at ICF Olson, where they served as a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer, building and configuring cloud environments in AWS, and providing support for the Adobe AEM platform. Craig also worked at Exelon as a Lead Analyst and Technical IT Analyst, providing tier 3 technical support for work management systems and legacy Constellation Documentum Enterprise systems. Craig has experience troubleshooting technical issues, performing administration activities, and developing enhancements and bug fixes in Java. Craig has a strong background in UNIX/Oracle systems and has demonstrated expertise in networking, performance optimization, and system configuration.

Craig Bowers obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. In addition to their degree, they have acquired several certifications throughout the years. These include the Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in April 2020, the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect from Google Cloud Platform Certified in January 2019, the CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist from The Linux Foundation in September 2021, the AWS Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services in November 2018, the Chef Basic Fluency Certification in September 2017, the Chef Local Cookbook Development Certification in September 2017, and the AWS Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in March 2017.
