Shaun Keenan

Shaun Keenan has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Shaun started their career as a UNIX System Administrator, Web Developer, and DBA at California State University, Hayward. Shaun then worked as a Software QA Engineer at Veritas, followed by a role as a UNIX System Administrator at hotwire.com. Afterwards, Shaun joined Aon as a Sr. Linux System Engineer and later worked as a Lead System Engineer at IPsoft, where they supported production sites for gap.com, oldnavy.com, and bananarepublic.com.

In 2009, Shaun joined salesforce.com, initially as a Lead System Engineer and later as a Team Lead/Product Owner, where they led a team in architecture design and implementation. Shaun also designed and built a data center and led the cutover of a large environment to it.

Shaun then moved to Gap Inc. as a Principal Cloud Architect, before joining Sauce Labs as the Head of Architecture. At Sauce Labs, they led initiatives such as cloud strategy, Google partner relationship, public cloud transformation, and migration to Kubernetes-based microservices. Shaun also founded and led the Developer Tooling team.

Currently, Shaun is working at Avast as a Software Engineering Advisor, where they provide guidance and expertise in software engineering. Shaun recently joined Zencore as a Principal Cloud Architect, leveraging their extensive experience with Google Cloud infrastructure and data products to help clients with their transformations and migrations to Google Cloud.

Shaun Keenan attended California State University - East Bay from 2000 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In 2017, they also obtained a certification as a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master.
