Raman Thiagarajan began their work experience in 1998 as the Head of Department at HSBC. Raman later joined McKinsey & Company in 2004 and became the Partner and Head of Financial Services Practice, serving as an advisor to financial institutions and government entities in various regions. In 2015, they co-founded and served as the Director of MeraJob India Private Limited until 2019. Thiagarajan also founded nexquare, a data science company in education, in 2016, and is the CEO and Founder of zenda, a fintech app for families, starting in 2021. Additionally, they have held roles as an investor, board member, advisor, and visiting faculty member in different organizations.

Raman Thiagarajan completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from INSEAD in the year 2004. Additionally, they became an Associate Member (A.C.M.A) of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Fellow Member (F.C.A) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
