Asser Ghorab

Asser Ghorab is the Director of DevOps at ZenHub. Asser has over 16 years of experience in the IT industry and has held various positions in systems delivery, configuration engineering, and DevOps.

Asser started their career as a Configuration Engineer at Orange Business Services in 2005. Asser then moved to Vodafone in 2008 where they became the Systems Delivery Leader. In 2015, they joined Cloudreach as the DevOps Lead. And in 2018, they became the DevOps Senior Manager at Philips.

During their time at Philips, Asser was in charge of building top of class architecture to support ACG's rapid growth, and the safety and well-being of their people. In 2021, they joined ZenHub as the Director of DevOps.

Asser has a proven track record in leading and managing large teams of engineers to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. Asser is an expert in DevOps methodologies and practices and is passionate about helping organizations improve their software development processes.

Asser Ghorab has a Diploma of Education in Artificial Intelligence from Columbia Engineering, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The German University in Cairo, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Benha University. Asser also has certification from The Linux Foundation in CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, Scaled Agile, Inc. in SAFe 4 Practitioner Certification, Google Cloud Certified in Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect, Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Developer Associate, Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Sysops Administrator - Associate Level, Microsoft in Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate Level.

They work with Elspeth Tory - Creative Director, Laura Starke - Head of People & Culture, and Aaron Upright - Head of Strategic Accounts. Their manager is Tyler Gaffney, CEO. A direct report to Asser Ghorab is and Vova Bobyr - Senior DevOps Engineer.
