Juan Arias, PhD, MBA

Juan Arias, PhD, MBA has a long and varied work experience. Juan began their career in 1989 as an Operations Manager at Instituto de Ingeniería. In 1993, they became a Research Assistant at Pennsylvania State University. From 1995 to 2011, they worked at Verizon in various roles, first as a Member of Technical Staff and then as a Senior Manager. In 2011, they became the VP of Engineering at Health Data Pathways, LLC. From 2012 to 2017, they were the CTO/VP of Engineering at Zenith Technology Solutions, Inc. During this time, they were also an Adjunct Instructor at Marist College from 2014 to 2016, and a Visiting Assistant Professor from 2016 to 2017. Finally, they have been an Assistant Professor of Computing Technology at Marist College since 2017.

Juan Arias obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar between 1982 and 1987. Juan then went on to earn a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the same university between 1989 and 1991. In 1992, Juan began their PhD in Computer Engineering at Penn State University, which they completed in 1995. In 1998, they obtained an MBA in Finance/Management from NYU Stern School of Business, which they completed in 2002.
