Alex Gilbert has extensive work experience in the energy and environmental sectors. In 2010, they began their career as a Communications Intern at the Metropolitan Planning Council. The following year, they held an Energy and Carbon Intern position at ENVIRON. In 2012, Alex worked as a GHG and Energy Management Intern at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, as well as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Energy and the Environment and the Environmental Tax Policy Institute at Vermont Law School. In 2013, they were an Energy Analyst at EBW AnalyticsGroup / Haynes and Boone, LLP. In 2015, Alex became a Cofounder at SparkLibrary. In 2019, they were a Project Manager at the Nuclear Innovation Alliance, and in 2020 they took on the role of Adjunct Faculty at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs. Most recently, Alex was appointed Director of Space & Planetary Regulation at Zeno Power in 2022.
Alex Gilbert has a comprehensive educational background. Alex completed their Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and International Relations from Lake Forest College in 2012. Alex then went on to pursue a Master of Energy Regulation and Law, Certificate in Climate Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School from 2012 to 2013. In 2020, Alex Gilbert began their studies at Colorado School of Mines, where they obtained a Master of Science in Space Resources in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Space Resources, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
