Aparna Sundar

Aparna Sundar has over 14 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Aparna began their career in 2006 as an Intern at Yahoo! India, followed by a role as a Software Developer at Samsung India Software Operations. In 2011, they moved to Epic as a Software Developer and then to Amazon in 2012 as a Software Development Engineer. In 2013, they joined MessageOne (previously Dell) as a Software Development Staff Engineer. Here, they served as an escalation engineer for MessageOne’s email continuity and mass notification product suite, interfacing with DevOps, customers and support in troubleshooting and fixing critical production issues. Aparna also implemented internal tools to help support customer issues and continuously improved products by fixing enhancements to product features from a customer usability and enterprise supportability perspective or fixing other requests. In 2015, they moved to General Motors as a Senior Software Developer and most recently joined Zenoss in 2020 as a Software Engineer.

Aparna Sundar completed their Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, they received an MSc(Tech) in Information Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2002 to 2006.
