Erik Steinmetz

Erik Steinmetz is a Sensor Fusion Software Engineer with extensive experience in mathematical modeling, signal processing, and algorithm development. Currently at Zenseact since July 2020, Erik previously held a similar position at ZENUITY for a brief period in 2020. Prior to these roles, Erik worked at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden from June 2009 to March 2020 as a Researcher and R&D Engineer. Erik's early career includes a position as a Lab Engineer at SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden focusing on electronic circuit design and PCB layout. Additionally, Erik served as a Teaching Assistant at Chalmers University of Technology, leading supplemental instruction for first-year mathematics students. Erik holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, as well as academic experience from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
