Niels Berger is an experienced professional in the field of automated driving systems and trajectory planning. Currently serving as a Product Owner at Zenseact since March 2018, Niels oversees the Emergency Trajectory Planning and Decision Making area, leading four teams focused on collision avoidance software within Zenseact's ADAS and AD stack. Previously, Niels worked as a Development Engineer at Zenseact, where contributions were made to trajectory planning. Niels has a background in the Nuon Solar Team, serving on the supervisory board and managing sponsor relations, as well as handling acquisitions and logistics for the team’s participation in the South African Solar Challenge. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Systems and Control and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics, both from Delft University of Technology, along with thesis work at both Volvo Cars and Zenuity focused on path planning algorithms for automated driving.
