Michael Rutgard

Michael Rutgard has diverse work experience in various industries. Michael started as a Student Research Assistant at UC Davis, where they worked in a laboratory analyzing brain slice slides for Alzheimer's Disease markers. Michael then worked as a Badminton Coach at Davis School District, where they coached and mentored student athletes. After that, they worked as a Creative Specialist at Market Action Research, Inc, specializing in website design, logo design, and video creation. Michael also volunteered as a Surgical Assistant with SEE International, assisting in sight-restoring surgeries and distributing prescription glasses in developing countries.

Michael'smost recent and longest-held position was at Zentalis Pharmaceuticals, where they held multiple roles. Michael started as an Office and Lab Manager, responsible for administrative and accounting tasks as well as lab supplies and equipment maintenance. Michael then progressed to become a Project Manager, managing project meetings, coordinating assays, and maintaining an assay data database. Following that, they served as a Senior Operations Manager, overseeing operations and IT functions and coordinating projects for a successful IND submission. Michael'smost recent position at Zentalis Pharmaceuticals is as an Associate Director, where they lead the Data Science and Informatics team.

Michael Rutgard completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis from 2008 to 2012. Michael also obtained additional certifications including "AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2021, and "CBEST" in December 2012.
