Michael Teifel has extensive work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Michael is currently serving as the SVP Non-Clinical Development - Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at AEterna Zentaris Inc. Prior to that, they worked at Cleara Biotech as a Non-Clinical Development Advisor and later as the VP of Translational Sciences. Before joining Cleara Biotech, they held various roles at AEterna Zentaris GmbH, including Vice President of Non-Clinical Sciences and Vice President of Preclinical Development. Michael also worked as the Head of Pharmacology & Toxicology at Munich Biotech AG and as a Group leader at Roche Diagnostics GmbH.
Michael Teifel obtained their Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry, and Cell Biology from Technische Universität Darmstadt between 1986 and 1996.
