Nils Schaede

Nils Schaede has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nils currently holds the position of Marketing Director at Zentis Group, a role they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as Senior Manager, Marketing & Sales at the same company from December 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining Zentis Group, Nils worked at the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Inc. for five years. Nils was initially appointed as the Director of Marketing and Communications in May 2017, responsible for developing and implementing the organization's marketing and communications strategy. In this role, they also managed the marketing budget and oversaw cross-departmental cooperation. After four years, Nils transitioned to the position of Manager, Membership Development & Engagement, where they focused on business development, membership growth, and fostering B2B engagement opportunities.

Nils gained valuable experience prior to their time at the German American Chamber of Commerce at Kiel-Marketing e.V. where they served as a Senior Project Manager. Nils'sresponsibilities included managing cross-media marketing campaigns for the retail and tourist industries in Kiel. Additionally, they spearheaded a service improvement campaign across all industries and successfully organized the Service Award Kiel 2014.

Nils began their career in the Bundeswehr, serving as Navy Infantry from August 2009 to December 2010. During this time, they underwent German Navy Infantry training, conducted presentations about Somalia and Afghanistan, and participated in NATO maneuvers alongside international units.

Overall, Nils Schaede possesses a strong background in marketing, communications, business development, and project management, with experience in both corporate and non-profit sectors.

Nils Schaede obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government/International Relations from Lawrence University in 2009. Nils then pursued a Master of Arts degree in M.P.S. from the University of Hamburg from 2011 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, Nils Schaede became a Company Trainer (obtained in 2020) through the DIHK and a Certified Event Manager (obtained in 2014) through the Bundesvereinigung City- und Stadtmarketing Deutschland e.V.
