Ernesto C. Martinez-Villalpando, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the technology and innovation sectors, currently serving as Strategy & Growth Advisor at Zero_by_fifty since September 2024. As a Co-Founder and Board Director of Solos Technology Limited since September 2019, Ernesto has focused on enhancing lives through smart wearable technology. Previous roles include Head of Corporate Development and Innovation at MassChallenge and Senior Director of Growth Strategy at PTC, where strategic initiatives aimed to upskill the front-line workforce in augmented reality. At Kopin Corporation, Ernesto established the first system innovation division and led the creation of Solos Smart Glasses. A postdoctoral fellow at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University and a research assistant at the MIT Media Lab, Ernesto holds a Ph.D. and MS in Biomechatronics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Panamericana.
