Improper computer or security configurations and programming errors are causing vulnerabilities that can be exploited by criminals. A Zero-Day is an advanced cyber attack that is using an unknown exploit that could lead critical problems because it leaves no opportunity for detection.
The “Zero-Day” concept makes us understand, that the flaw, or the vulnerability, could be used before a developer has the opportunity to create a patch to fix it.
Despite the fact that there are several solutions that could reduce such risks, a 360° protection does not exist. However, we can always focus on putting in place the right safeguards, like using network security tools, educating the employees, implementing an SSL (Security Socket Layer) for the websites, and controlling the access rights for sensitive data and critical applications.

The Zero-Day Conference adopts this concept, and supports cybersecurity specialists, data protection officers, IT managers and decision makers to find the right solutions to shape their cybersecurity strategy for the upcoming year.
