Lia Li is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of photonics and optomechanics. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Zero Point Motion since February 2020, Lia has successfully raised significant funding for the company. Previous roles include Fellowships at UCL, where Lia focused on the miniaturisation of optomechanical inertial sensors and sensor applications using whispering gallery mode resonances, and leadership of the UCL Women in Physics Group to support female researchers. Lia has a history of research as a scientist at BAE Systems and an executive fellow at the University of Bristol's Quantum Technology Enterprise Centre. With a PhD in Physics from UCL, and an MSci in Physics from Imperial College London, Lia has also contributed to several patents and has experience in science communication and public engagement.
