Ciaran McGuigan

Ciaran McGuigan has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Ciaran is currently serving as the Finance & Compliance Director at Zero Waste Scotland. Prior to this, they worked at Cyrenians as a Trustee and Treasurer, where they played a crucial role in the organization's growth and financial sustainability. Ciaran also held the position of Director, Finance and Actuarial Transformation Programme at Phoenix Group, where they were responsible for integrating finance and actuarial functions to create a scalable platform for future growth. Before that, they worked at Standard Life in various roles including FSSC Director, Business Finance Services Director, Head of FSSC Operations, Head of Treasury Risk, and Head of Financial Risk. In these positions, they oversaw finance and corporate services functions and played a key role in delivering core finance services.

Ciaran McGuigan attended the University of Oxford from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Historical Research (Medieval) and a Master of Studies degree in History.
