Asit Kumar Dalai

Asit Dalai is a seasoned maritime professional currently serving as the Fleet Performance and Decarbonization Manager at Dorian LPG since April 2022, focusing on operational enhancements and energy efficiency retrofits for sustainable shipping. Dalai is also a secondee at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, where efforts are directed towards future energy efficiency improvement projects and onboard vessel solutions. Previous experience includes roles as Data Insights & Decarbonization Lead and Senior Vessel Performance Analyst at Maersk Tankers, involvement in the Technical Committee as Vice Chair at Sea Cargo Charter, and multiple vessel performance analyst positions at Maersk Line Fleet Management & Technology. Early career experience includes naval architecture roles at Larsen & Toubro Limited and internships at Aryatech Marine & Offshore Services and Zebec Marine Consultants. Asit Dalai is pursuing an Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics from Copenhagen Business School while holding a dual degree in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
