Kavan McEachern has a diverse range of work experience. In 2008, they worked as a Research Intern at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, conducting research on deep-sea hydrothermal vents and their role in the origins of life on Earth. In 2011, they were a Research Fellow at Vassar College, where they focused on motion planning algorithms for simulated self-reconfigurable robots. In 2012, Kavan worked as a Summer Scholar at The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, implementing wireless communication between autonomous robots. From 2013 to the present, they have been employed at ZeroFox, starting as a Research and Development Engineer and progressing to Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineering Manager, and currently as Director of Engineering. Additionally, in 2013, Kavan was a Fellow at Venture For America's entrepreneurship training camp.
Kavan McEachern attended Phillips Exeter Academy from 2006 to 2008 and graduated from Vassar College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science.
