Lizelle Van Schouwenburg has over a decade of work experience in various finance and strategy roles. Lizelle most recently worked at ZeroNorth, where they held the positions of VP Financial Planning & Analysis, VP Business Performance and Strategy, and interim Head of Finance. In these roles, they were responsible for driving strategic cost initiatives, setting up department and business area reporting, supporting M&A activities, and aligning planning and forecasting to new shareholder requirements. Prior to their time at ZeroNorth, Lizelle worked at Novartis as a Strategic Sales Partner and Finance Business Partner, where they focused on sales analytics, customer segmentation, and developing targeted strategies. Lizelle also worked at BSH Home Appliances Group as a Finance and Sales Controller and Analyst, optimizing sales targets and increasing profitability. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Cost and Management Accountant at EVRAZ North America and participated in a graduate program at Standard Bank Group.
Lizelle Van Schouwenburg completed their education with a Grade 12 degree from AHMP in 2002. Lizelle then went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Pretoria in 2006. In 2013, Lizelle pursued a Masters in Finance from CIMA, focusing on Operations, Performance, and Strategy Management. Most recently, they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Sustainability Studies from Copenhagen Business School in 2020.
