Selwyn Fernandes has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Selwyn began their career as a 2nd Officer at V.Ships in 2007, where they were responsible for navigation equipment, passage planning, salary slips, training, and medical matters for the crew. Selwyn then moved on to Sea Star Ship Management in 2012, holding a similar role with additional responsibilities such as preparing monthly salary slips for crew members and improving the skills of the 3rd Officer. In 2016, Selwyn joined Global Navigation Solutions Limited as an Executive, later transitioning to the role of Customer Service Team Lead APAC, and then Operations Manager APAC. In 2020, they joined Voyager Worldwide as the Head of Customer Success APAC & Americas. Selwyn's most recent role is as the Director of Customer Success - Asia at ZeroNorth, starting in June 2023.

Selwyn Fernandes completed a Class 3 Marine Officer degree in Maritime from Lowestoft College in 2005-2006. In 2006-2007, they pursued a Diploma in Nautical Science at the same institution.
