Sonia Whiteman

Sonia Whiteman is an accomplished professional in the kiwifruit and agriculture sectors, currently serving as the Global Trials & Data Insights Manager at Zespri International since February 2018. In this role, Sonia leads a global trial program designed to support and inspire growers. Prior to this position, Sonia was the Innovation Team Leader for Protect Supply at Zespri, where collaboration with researchers focused on biosecurity and crop protection. Sonia's extensive experience includes roles such as General Manager of Apata GROW, Associate Director at Kiwifruit Vine Health, and Product Development Manager at Ballance Agri-Nutrients. Sonia holds a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Lincoln University and is recognized for contributions to the vegetable industry through strategic research investments.
