Gerasimos Gakis

Gerasimos Gakis has worked in the software engineering field since 2008. Gerasimos started their career as a Technical Assistant at Synhrono - Lifelong Learning Centre, where they built and managed the network infrastructure, assisted and supported the students and personnel with IT-related tasks, and maintained the e-learning platform. In 2013, they moved to Extraordinary Managed Services Limited as a Systems Engineer, where they built and maintained Linux and Windows servers, maintained Cloud Infrastructure, administered, purchased, and set up SSL certificates and domains, maintained backup infrastructure and monitoring system, and supported clients via telephone and email. In 2018, they joined Financial Cloud as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on the frontend of the new CRM platform using Angular 5/6, created a modern and responsive frontend with user-friendly UX/UI, and made the platform a progressive web app using the newest technologies. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Zest since 2022.

Gerasimos Gakis has a background in computer engineering and software engineering. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the International Hellenic University, where they specialized in Information Technology. Gerasimos then obtained a Responsive Web Design certification from freeCodeCamp in 2018 and a Front End Development certification from freeCodeCamp in 2017. In 2018, they also obtained a Mobile Web Specialist certification from Udacity, where they specialized in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, they are expected to obtain an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022.
