Victor Kim

Victor Kim has worked in the IT industry since 2004. Victor began their career at Huawei as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed a Ring Back Tone management portal. In 2007, they moved to Yugoria as Head of System Architecture Department, where they were responsible for ERP system architecture design and implementation. In 2008, they joined ESCO as Head of System Development Department, where they automated business processes and developed, integrated, and maintained a corporate insurance information system. In 2009, they took on the role of Business Analyst/Project Manager at Raiffeisen Life Insurance Company LLC, where they managed projects between stakeholders and developers. Since 2012, they have been working at Zettaset as Director of Engineering, Principal Engineering Manager, Principal Software Engineer, and Project Lead. Victor'sresponsibilities include developing HA and fault-tolerant solutions, deploying Oracle VirtualBox and data center clusters, and working with Hadoop, YARN, MR, HBase, Hive, Oozie, Zookeeper, and Hadoop security.

Victor Kim obtained a Master degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Moscow State Institute of Electronic Engineering (Technical University) between 1998 and 2004. Victor then went on to receive their Ph.D. in Mathematics from the same institution between 2004 and 2008. In addition, they have obtained two certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera in 2014 and Mathematical Thinking from Coursera in 2013.
