Mark Kopnitsky

Chief Scientific Officer at Zeus Scientific, Inc.

Mark has been with ZEUS Scientific since 1990, overseeing the development of an extensive line of in vitro diagnostic test systems. The current product line includes approximately 150 assays for a range of autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and other specialized markers. In addition to his research and development contributions, Mark oversees quality systems, regulatory affairs, and product development from assay conceptualization through regulatory clearance. He has submitted and cleared more than 100 IVD products through the United States Food and Drug Administration. Prior to joining ZEUS, he was responsible for the development and support of ELISA tests for Pharmacia Diagnostics (formerly Electronucleonics, Inc.). Mark holds a bachelor's degree in biology, secondary education from the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in microbiology with an emphasis in molecular genetics from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
