João Faustino

João Faustino has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. João started their career as a Dental Technician at Oralook Laboratório de Próteses Dentárias, Lda. from February 2015 to December 2016.

In 2017, João joined <Academia de Código_>, where they held several roles. João first served as an Assistant Programming Teacher and Software Developer, providing individualized support to 71 students and assisting in 4 bootcamps. From September 2018 to August 2019, they worked as a Programming Teacher and Software Developer, teaching 59 students across 3 bootcamps and managing a team of assistant teachers. As a Lead Programming Teacher and Software Developer from September 2019 to January 2020, João selected a class of 16 students, led the software teachers, and curated the curriculum content.

From January 2020 to October 2021, João worked at Mindera as a Frontend Software Developer. João was involved in various projects such as building e-commerce web platforms for luxury international fashion brands, developing a whistleblower web app for an international FinTech company, and creating a mobile app for an international education service. In this role, they collaborated closely with other engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to ensure the best solutions. João utilized their skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, and other technologies such as Styled Components, Storybook, Jenkins, Jest, Webpack, and RESTful APIs.

At Mindera School, João took on the role of a Software Development Teacher from August 2020 to July 2021. João taught JavaScript, React, Java, and Spring Boot to students, contributing to their learning and development.

Most recently, João joined Swissquote as a Frontend Software Engineer from October 2021 to February 2022. João worked with TypeScript, React, Micro Frontends, and Docker to develop frontend software.

In March 2022, João joined Zharta as a Lead Frontend Engineer. Their role involves working with TypeScript, Remix, React, Node, and AWS to lead the frontend engineering efforts.

João Faustino began their education in 2012 at the University of Lisbon, where they pursued a Bachelor of Dental Technology. João completed their degree in 2015 and subsequently started working in the field of Dental Science. In 2017, João Faustino attended <Academia de Código_>, where they obtained a Junior Fullstack Developer certification.
