Heather Thompson has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 2002 as a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor at Menzies Mickleover Court Hotel. Heather then joined Zibrant in 2004, where they held various roles such as Venue Find Executive, Procurement Executive, Procurement Manager, Service Delivery Manager, and Team Manager - Professional Services. In these roles, they focused on supplier relations, preferred partnerships, strategic meetings management, and driving compliance. Since 2018, Heather has been working at BCD Meetings & Events, initially as Head of Venues - LIVE! and currently as a Customer Experience Manager and Operations Director. Their responsibilities include heading the LIVE! Sourcing Team, linking venue sourcing with event services, and focusing on clients in the Legal and Professional Service industry.

Heather Thompson attended John Port School in Etwall, Derbyshire from 2002 to 2004, where they pursued A Levels. In addition, they obtained a certification titled "How Leaders Can Motivate Others by Creating Meaning" from LinkedIn in 2023.
