Andras Benke

Andras Benke has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Andras started their career as a Software Developer at Topsoft Zrt, where they developed the company's first Java web application. Andras then joined Capsys Financial Technologies Ltd. as a Lead Java Developer, where they built a customizable Java framework for touchscreen KIOSK machines and developed in-bank customer service and in-store marketing applications.

After that, they worked at Smooth Solutions in Hungary as a Lead Java Developer before moving to XCel Solutions Corp as a Senior Java Developer. At XCel Solutions Corp, they worked on frontend development for insurance software solutions.

In 2007, they joined ViVOtech, Inc as a Senior Java Developer, where they built applications to communicate with contactless card readers and cards. Andras also implemented new cryptography algorithms. Andras then joined Quova as a Senior Research Engineer and contributed to research and data analysis projects related to IP geo-location.

Andras worked at Informatica as a Principal Software Engineer before joining Klout as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead. At Klout, they led a cross-functional team in building the Klout score and extracting influential content for social media users.

In 2012, they joined Ask.com as a Principal Architect - Big Data, where they redesigned the Related Search product to work on Hadoop and Hive big data stack. Andras also built a real-time suspect detection system.

Finally, they joined Zignal Labs in 2014 and held various roles, including Chief Software Architect, Manager of Data Science & Innovation Labs, and Chief Data Scientist. At Zignal Labs, they led the Data Science Team, developed purpose-based, machine learning data pipelines, and contributed to driving innovation and protecting intellectual property.
