Dr. Eric Whitaker

CEO and Founder at Zing Health

Dr. Eric Whitaker is the CEO and founder of Zing Health. Dr. was previously the executive vice president for strategic affiliations and associate dean for community-based research at UChicago Medicine, where they led the Urban Health Initiative, a long-term program to improve access to quality care and health outcomes on Chicago’s Southside through patient care, community-based clinical research and medical education. Dr. also oversaw minority participation in construction projects and professional services, earning the UHC Supplier Diversity Leadership Award for academic medical centers. Prior to that, they were a preventive medicine resident at Emory University School of Medicine, where they directed efforts to maintain clinical excellence, operational efficiency and financial stability for West Suburban Hospital and Medical Center and Weiss Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Eric Whitaker attended the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where they earned their MPH in Health Policy and Management. Dr. also holds a BA in Chemistry from Grinnell College.
