Zio Matto Gelato
Ryan Watt is a co-owner of Zio Matto Gelato since December 2020, bringing celebrated Italian gelato to select restaurants and markets in the Memphis area. Prior experience includes roles in business development at Eventive from January 2022 to November 2024, and as executive director of Indie Memphis from April 2015 to March 2021, where the organization aimed to foster community through independent film. Additional experience encompasses director of development at New School Media, inc. from October 2008 to April 2015, producer at Paper Moon Films from July 2009 to July 2014, director of marketing at Securas Consulting Group from July 2006 to October 2008, and president of Metro Backup from June 2003 to July 2006. Ryan Watt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, obtained in 2002.

Zio Matto Gelato
Born from Matteo Servente, Zio Matto brings the authentic Italian gelato experience to Memphis. Over the course of more than twelve years in Memphis, Servente has been dreaming of sharing parts of the Italian tradition he grew up with. His hometown, Torino, has a deep culinary history and gelato is a major part of it. Zio Matto is a way to connect his two homes through one of the most delicious treats in the world.
