Grant Hecht

Grant Hecht has a strong background in data science and analytics. Grant started their career at Metrix Data Science in 2005, where they worked as the Director and Head of Analytics. In this role, Grant managed a team of analysts and analyzed data to maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships. Grant also developed a lapsed prediction model, which identified customers who were unlikely to renew their policy and utilized this analysis to target relevant offers. Grant then joined Openpay in 2017 as a Data Scientist, where they worked until 2022. Currently, Grant is the Data Science Manager for Underwriting at Zip Co, starting in 2022.

Grant Hecht obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Statistics and Accounting from Rhodes University, where they attended from 1999 to 2001. In 2004, they pursued further education at the University of Cape Town, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree with a specialization in Statistics. In addition to their formal education, they also received a certification in DataRobot Essentials from DataRobot in April 2020.
