Nishaat Vasi

Nishaat Vasi has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Nishaat began their career as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the College of Engineering, UMASS Dartmouth. Nishaat then transitioned to an Instructor of Mathematics position at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where they taught Linear Algebra and Calculus courses.

Following their time in academia, Nishaat joined The Mathworks as an Application Engineer, working closely with customers to understand their needs and develop technical strategies. Nishaat later became a Technical Marketing Specialist, launching a new product and creating go-to-market strategies. Finally, they served as a Product Manager, managing the embedded software verification and reporting product portfolio.

Nishaat then moved on to TripAdvisor, where they worked as a Product Manager focused on content optimization for the hotel booking platform. Nishaat utilized data-driven strategies to provide compelling content to travelers.

Currently, Nishaat is at Zipcar, where they have held various roles over the years. Nishaat started as a Senior Product Manager, responsible for building data strategy and products. Nishaat then progressed to Group Product Manager, leading product and analytics teams to evolve consumer experiences and develop new revenue streams. After that, they served as Director of Product Management before being promoted to their current role as Head of Product and User Experience.

Throughout their career, Nishaat has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a passion for product management, user experience, and data analysis.

Nishaat Vasi has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Wireless Communication from D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, which was obtained from 2001 to 2005. They later pursued a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a focus on Wireless Communication, Signal Processing, and VLSI at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 2005 to 2007. Nishaat Vasi is currently attending Harvard Extension School, where they are studying Strategic Marketing Management. In addition, they have a certification in Pragmatic Marketing from Pragmatic Marketing.
