Chris Blust

Chris Blust is an experienced embedded software engineer currently working at Zipline since February 2024. Previously, Chris served as a firmware engineer at Aptera Motors, where responsibilities included designing a layered software architecture for a solar panel charge controller and leading the integration of solar charging in Aptera vehicles. Chris's background includes extensive firmware development and electronics design at RIT Racing, with notable contributions to battery management systems, dashboard displays, and CAN interfaces. Chris held several internships at Tesla, focusing on firmware integration, simulation frameworks, and testing methodologies. Earlier experience includes roles at RailComm and Saab, enhancing skills in algorithm development and embedded systems. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
