Karan Chawla

Karan Chawla is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in aerospace technology and simulation systems. Currently employed at Zipline, Karan previously worked as a Lead Software Engineer in Simulation at Elroy Air, where notable achievements include directing the development of the first hybrid electric drone flight. Karan's background includes co-founding Resolute Labs and serving as Co-Founder & CTO, leading the creation of a cloud-native application for energy infrastructure. Early career roles include positions as an Autonomy Engineer at SkyRyse, where Karan focused on Hardware-In-The-Loop simulation, and various internships that provided expertise in drone design and robotics. Karan holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
