Sonal Patel

Sonal Patel has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies.

Sonal currently works at Zipline as a People role since October 2021. Prior to that, they spent seven years at The Walt Disney Company, where they held several positions, including Director - Strategic Operations, Senior Manager - Delivery & Operational Intelligence, Senior Manager - Finance Operations & Strategy, and Manager - Finance Operations & Strategy. Their responsibilities included financial planning, execution of key initiatives, and cross-departmental projects supporting the EVP Technology & Operations. Sonal provided finance and strategy support for the SVP Technology & Operations, developed financial models, and supported the Cable Networks for the Walt Disney Company.

Before joining Disney, Sonal worked at Western Asset Management as a Client Service Associate, where they supported institutional clients and implemented automated processes, saving over $6M in losses. Sonal also worked at UCLA Foundation as an Investment Accountant Analyst, supporting the chief investment officer and developing an intranet filing system.

Sonal's early experience includes serving on the Executive Board of Alpha Kappa Psi as Vice President of Finance & Director of Fundraising, where they managed a budget and organized community-based fundraising events.

Sonal Patel completed their high school education at Monta Vista High School from 2002 to 2006. Sonal then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics at UCLA from 2006 to 2010.
