David Nicksic has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. David is currently the Director of Sales Design & Engineering at Ziply Fiber since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager Commercial Sales Engineering at Ziply Fiber from December 2020 to July 2023. From 2015 to 2020, they served as a Senior Sales Engineer at Frontier Communications.

Before that, David held the position of Regional Manager Sales Engineering at Comcast from December 2009 to September 2015, where they played a key role in establishing and managing the Sales Engineering function. David also worked as the Director at COMgroup Inc from October 2008 to June 2009, where they focused on financial forecasting, business plan refinement, and market penetration strategies.

David was the Vice President and COO/CTO at Incident Tactics from November 2003 to September 2008, overseeing operational functions for a startup SaaS R&D company. Prior to that, they served as President and CEO of Moss Bay Group from August 1990 to November 2003, leading a professional services firm in IT and management consulting.

David's career began at KPMG Peat Marwick, where they held the role of Manager Western Region Technology Practice from March 1984 to July 1990. In this role, they were responsible for business development, project management, staff recruitment and development, as well as serving as the Interim CEO for a client.

David Nicksic attended Seattle University from 1974 to 1978, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance. In addition to their education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1997, they became a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), and the following year, they obtained the BICSI Network Technology Systems (NTS) Designer certification. In 2015, they became a SIP School Certified Associate (SSCA) and a Ciena Carrier Ethernet Associate (CEA). Finally, in 2016, they received the CECP certification from the MEF Forum.
