Yumeng Gao

Yumeng Gao has a diverse work experience, starting with an upcoming role as a Staff Control Engineer specializing in battery algorithms at Zitara. Prior to this, Yumeng worked at Freudenberg Battery Power Systems from 2017 to 2023, where they held the position of Battery Management System Algorithm Specialist. In this role, Yumeng oversaw the development of software and algorithms, combining Agile and ISO26262 methodologies. They also led a software team from concept to code.

Before joining Freudenberg, Yumeng worked as a Battery Algorithm Engineer at Gotion Inc. from 2015 to 2017.

Yumeng's earlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auburn University from 2013 to 2015.

Yumeng's first work experience was as an Engineering Intern at Fuzhou Reida Electronic CoLtd in 2012.

Yumeng Gao has a diverse education history. Yumeng holds a Bachelor's degree in Product Analysis & Engineering Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2013. Yumeng then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University from 2013 to 2015. Yumeng Gao is currently enrolled in the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with an anticipated completion date in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Yumeng Gao has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Yumeng completed the "PostgreSQL for Everybody Specialization" from the University of Michigan on Coursera in June 2023. In April 2023, they obtained the "Competitive Strategy and Organization Design Specialization" from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Yumeng also received the "Michigan Ross Leader Endorsement" from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in April 2023. Furthermore, they completed the "Leading People and Teams Specialization" from the University of Michigan on Coursera in October 2022. Prior to their MBA studies, they completed the "Software Product Management Specialization" from the University of Alberta in June 2020. Yumeng Gao also holds the "Automotive Functional Safety Professional" certification from kVA by UL, which they obtained in January 2019.
