EVP, Corporate Affairs, Communications & Chief Sustainability Officer at Zoetis

Jeannette Ferran Astorga is Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Communications and Sustainability, and Chief Sustainability Officer. She also serves as President of the Zoetis Foundation. In these roles, Ms. Ferran Astorga is responsible for the company’s integrated and comprehensive approach to public policy, social responsibility, corporate reputation, and colleague and leadership communications and leads the sustainability and ESG disclosure strategy. She joined Zoetis in September 2020 as the company’s first Head of Sustainability and has advised Zoetis leadership and Board of Directors on environmental, social and governance (ESG) and sustainability, launched the company’s long-range goals in the areas of environment and social impact, established the Zoetis Foundation, and led Zoetis’ first sustainability reporting to share progress toward its commitments.

Prior to joining Zoetis, Ms. Ferran Astorga was Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at the ascena Retail Group, where she led the global team responsible for supply chain compliance and sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and corporate philanthropy. Throughout her tenure in fashion retail, she held a variety of management roles with increasing responsibilities in information systems, merchandise planning and various business support functions.

Ms. Ferran Astorga was recognized as one of Assent’s 2020 Top 100 Corporate Social Responsibility Influence Leaders. Deeply committed to supporting women’s initiatives, she volunteers as a career counselor and executive mentor through various organizations including 92Y Women inPower and New Women, New Yorkers, a non-profit providing mentorship for immigrant women seeking employment in New York City. She also is a member of the Board of Industry Advisors for LIM College in New York.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Marketing/Finance from Fordham University in New York and has completed a Harvard Business School Executive Education Program in Corporate Social Responsibility.
