Tiago Passafaro

Tiago Passafaro, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Zoetis Inc. since December 2019, specializing in quantitative genetics, particularly focusing on genetic evaluations and statistical model development for complex traits in beef cattle. Additionally, Tiago has contributed to the automation of internal analysis processes and provided statistical technical support across various teams. Prior to this role, Tiago served as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from September 2014 to December 2019, where expertise in developing statistical models and utilizing machine learning for livestock production was demonstrated. Educational credentials include a Certificate in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, and Medical Informatics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Science in Animal Breeding and Quantitative Genetics from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the same institution.
