Surbhi Sonkiya

Surbhi Sonkiya is currently working as a Data Engineer at Zoi since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Quorum Software from January to April 2022. From October 2019 to December 2021, Surbhi worked as a Software Engineer at Tietoevry, where they were involved in various projects using agile methodology, including requirement analysis, consulting, code walk-through, and data migration. Surbhi also proposed and developed a production data monitoring solution. Before that, they worked as a Student Intern at Atos from January to June 2019, where they developed a solution for resource orchestration and management of hybrid cloud environments. Additionally, Surbhi gained experience as a Student Intern at Fondazione Bruno Kessler - FBK from October 2017 to July 2018, where they developed a tool for automated decision making in software evolution. Surbhi also conducted research on collaborative decision making methodologies for issue prioritization. Surbhi's work experience started at Infosys, where they worked as a Systems Engineer and Senior Systems Engineer from June 2014 to August 2017. Surbhi'sprojects focused on upstream hydrocarbon accounting and data management using various applications such as Energy Components, Flowcal, SAP Business Intelligence, and PI applications. Surbhi was involved in enhancement projects, customization, configuration requests, and database management tasks.

Surbhi Sonkiya completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham from 2010 to 2014. Surbhi then pursued a Master's degree in Software and Service Architectures with a specialization in Software and Services in the Cloud from EIT Digital Alumni from 2017 to 2019. Concurrently, they also obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software and Service Architectures, EIT Digital Master School from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2018 and 2019. Additionally, they earned another Master of Science (MS) degree in Software and Service Architectures, EIT Digital Master School from Università di Trento from 2017 to 2018.

In terms of certifications, Surbhi obtained the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation Certification from Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA) in November 2015. Surbhi also completed a Yoga Teachers Training Course (250+ hours) from Yogadarshanam, Mysuru affiliated with Yoga Alliance, US in October 2015. Furthermore, Surbhi holds a certification in MITx 6.002: Circuits and Electronics from MIT's pilot course conducted by Prof. Anant Agarwal in June 2012.

Recently, Surbhi acquired two additional certifications. Surbhi became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2022 and obtained the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate from Microsoft in November 2022.
