Unreal Engine Animation Artist at Zoic Labs

Steve Munoz has worked in the animation industry since 2006. Steve began their career as a Lead 3D Layout Artist at O Entertainment, where they were responsible for managing individual artist work loads and giving notes and guidance to team members. In 2009, they moved to Omation as a Senior Lead 3D Layout Artist, managing the Layout department and ensuring deadlines were met. In 2010, they worked as a 3D Layout Artist at Music Intelligence Project, where they were responsible for setting up cameras and character blocking based on director notes. In 2011, they joined Lucasfilm Animation as a 3D Story Artist, working on individual sequences and helping other artists on the team. In 2013, they were a Camera/Layout Artist at Sony Computer Entertainment America. In 2014, they worked at MPC as a Previs Artist for Batman V Superman and as a Layout TD for The Jungle Book. In 2015, they joined Method Studios as a Realtime Game Artist and Previs/Animator, where they were responsible for rigging characters and props, updating character rigs and prop rigs, acting as lead animator for the animation department, setting up previs shots, animating characters and props, adding effects and lighting to scenes, and addressing notes in a timely manner. In 2019, they joined Dreamscape Immersive as a Senior Animator, where they were responsible for rigging characters and props, updating character rigs and prop rigs, and acting as lead animator for the animation department. Steve is currently employed at ZOIC LABS as an Unreal Engine Animation Artist.

Steve Munoz received their High School Diploma from San Bernardino High School in 2000. Steve then went on to receive their BFA in Animation from Laguna College of Art and Design in 2005.
