Agnes Samwel

Agnes Samwel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Agnes began their career in 2012 as a Bank Clerk at United Bank For Africa PLC, where they worked until October 2013. Following this, they joined African Greenland Safari as a Finance Officer from October 2013 to February 2014. Agnes then transitioned to Off.Grid:Electric in 2014, serving as a Quality Support Officer. In 2016, they joined Offgrid Electric as a Junior Accountant. Lastly, Agnes worked for Off-Grid Electric Tanzania Limited as a Regional Accountant for the TZ & RW regions starting from April 2018.

Agnes Samwel completed their Bachelor of Banking and Finance degree from the Institute of Finance Management between 2010 and 2013. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained training in various aspects of taxation, including VAT Act, cap 148, VAT Refunds, VAT Exemption, VAT Adjustments, VAT Apportionment, and various VAT Cases from Auditax International in April 2022. Agnes also received certification in Tax Audit from the Tanzania Revenue Authority in March 2021 and participated in a Training on Taxation conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers(PWC) in November 2019. In terms of non-finance-related certifications, Agnes obtained a certification in Leadership from the African Management Initiative in March 2015 and completed an Advanced Sales Proficiency course organized by Marketing Class Tanzania in January 2010. Additionally, they are a member of the Banker Association at Equity Bank Limited.
