Stephane Bailliez

Stephane Bailliez has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Stephane served as the SVP Engineering at Zola.com from 2019 onwards, where they were responsible for optimizing cost efficiency and improving technical solutions. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of Engineering at the same company from 2016 to 2019, where they played a key role in scaling the company. Before joining Zola.com, Bailliez worked as the Principal Architect at Zola.com from 2014 to 2016, where they built solid foundations for the team and improved engineering efficiency. Stephane also has experience as the Chief Technical Officer at Vensette, Inc., Principal Engineer at Gilt Groupe, Founder and Consultant at Bailliez Technologies, and Senior Software Engineer at Joost Technologies B.V. Additionally, they have had sabbatical periods where they traveled solo and pursued personal interests.

Stephane Bailliez obtained a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from IPSA, école d'ingénieurs de l'air et de l'espace, with a focus on fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, avionics, materials science, and propulsion. This educational background was achieved between 1993 and 1998.
