Torben Schwellnus

Torben Schwellnus began their work experience in web marketing at Getty Images Deutschland GmbH in 2000. Torben then founded exSITEing multimedia concepts in the same year and worked as the Founder and CTO until 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they moved on to a role at a company called t.b.a. In 2011, they became the Head of IT at superReal GmbH | Agentur für Neue Kommunikation before transitioning to roles at XING in 2012. At XING, they worked as a Team Lead Engineer, Director of Engineering, Vice President of Engineering, and Senior Vice President of Engineering. Torben left XING in 2018 and joined NewStore, Inc. as the Senior Vice President of Engineering in early 2019. Shortly after, they became a Software Engineering & Management Consultant in 2019. In 2020, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Cargonexx GmbH until 2021. Currently, they are the Chief Technology Officer at zolar, starting in November 2021.

Torben Schwellnus obtained a Dipl. Kommunikationswirt degree in Kommunikationswirtschaft from the Kommunikationsakademie Hamburg KAH/AKK from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they studied Volkswirtschaftslehre at the University of Hamburg from 1995 to 1998.
