Nehal Patel

Nehal Patel, PhD, has a diverse work experience with a focus on research and engineering in the medical field. They started their career at Athersys as a Regenerative Medicine & Manufacturing Engineer from May 2013 to August 2014. Following this, they worked at MP Biomedicals as an R&D & Manufacturing Engineer from January 2015 to January 2016. They then joined The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as a Research Associate from September 2012 to July 2016, followed by a role as an NIH Cardiology Fellow from August 2016 to April 2020. Most recently, Nehal Patel has been working as a Postdoctoral Scientist/Engineer at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from May 2020 to September 2020. Currently, Nehal is serving as the Clinical Evidence Director at ZOLL Medical Corporation, starting from September 2020.

Nehal Patel, PhD, has a strong education background in Biomedical Engineering. They obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Ohio State University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution from 2016 to 2018. Nehal Patel also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a minor in Neuroscience, from The Ohio State University, which they completed from 2012 to 2016. Their academic journey started at Nordonia High School, where they graduated with honors and obtained a high school diploma in 2012.
