Varun Rai

Varun Rai has a wealth of work experience spanning over two decades. In 1999, they began their career as a Retail Consultant & Practice Lead and Client Engagement Manager and Lead Business Analyst at Wipro Technologies. In 2005, they moved to Adea Solutions, where they held the roles of Key Account Manager and Practice Manager - Retail Solutions. In 2007, they pursued an MBA at Said Business School. In 2008, they returned to work at Shell in London as a Strategy & Marketing professional. In 2009, they were a Downstream Consultant at Shell, and in 2011, they became Director - New Business Development, Director Marketing and New Business Development - Asia, Retail Fleet Solutions, and New Market Entry Manager - Retail (B2B). In 2019, they were Director Sales APAC at Arviem AG. In 2020, they were Founder of Tivra and Entrepreneur In Residence at Entrepreneur First. Most recently, in 2021, they became CEO & Co-Founder of Zolnoi.

Varun Rai's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from 2007 to 2008. Varun also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from both National Institute of Technology Karnataka and KREC Surathkal from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, Varun attended DPS R.K. Puram from 1993 to 1995, Campion Mumbai from 1992 to 1993, and St. John's from 1983 to 1992. Additionally, Varun is a Certified Green Belt and Certified Lean Practitioner.
