Austin W.

Austin W. has extensive experience in software development and engineering. Austin currently works as a Lead Software Architect and Engineer at Zomedica since 2024. Previously, they served as an SXSW Advisory Board member at SXSW starting from 2021. Austin also founded their own company, Tauon LLC, in 2018 with a mission to enhance gaming experiences through voice technology. Before that, they held various roles at Amazon Web Services, including being an Amazon Alexa Champion and Subject Matter Expert. Austin was also a Lead Software Architect at Renalis from 2022 to 2023 and a Software Engineer at the same company from 2021 to 2022. Furthermore, they worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Structured Monitoring Products, Inc. from 2018 to 2022. Austin contributed to the Unity community as a Unity Student Ambassador from 2018 to 2021. Austin started their career as an AR/VR/Voice Developer at Hyland in 2017 and had a Web Developer Internship at the same company in 2017. Austin also served as a Consultant at ButtonPushApps in 2018 and had a Web Developer Internship at Comsat Architects in 2016.

Austin W. attended Rocky River High School from 2014 to 2018. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Case Western Reserve University from 2018 to 2022. In terms of additional certifications, Austin obtained the Case Western Reserve University CREC Program certification in April 2021, participated in the 2019 Blockland Developers Workshop, became a Subject Matter Expert (SME) certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2019, and obtained an AWS Certified Alexa Skill Builder - Specialty certification in July 2019.
