Luz Andrea Peña Castro

Luz Andrea Peña Castro has a solid background in information technology and digital transformation. Luz Andrea started their career as the Director of Information Technology and Director of IT Infrastructure and Digital Transformation at Zona Franca de Bogotá - Grupo ZFB in 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Technology and Digital Transformation at Interlaken Technology Solutions in 2017. In addition, they worked as a professor for the Master's programs in IT Management and Digital Transformation at Universidad el Externado de Colombia from 2018 to 2022. Luz Andrea also has experience as the Manager of Technology and Digital Transformation at Core Corporate ITO from 2014 to 2017, where they led various projects and implemented IT governance and security standards. Before that, they held the position of Technology Manager at Top Factory Contact Center from 2008 to 2014, where they focused on improving the call center's technology architecture and ensuring compliance with information security standards.

Luz Andrea Peña Castro has a master's degree in Management Information Systems, General, which they obtained from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito from 2012 to 2014. Luz Andrea also holds a certification as a Big Data Science Certified Professional from BDGUIDANCE in 2018. In 2013, they obtained a certification in ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security from SGS Colombia. Luz Andrea'sundergraduate degree is a Master en Gestión de Información in Ingeniería de Sistemas, which they received from Universidad Católica de Colombia from 2000 to 2006. Luz Andrea pursued further education in Master Data Management from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained a degree in Negociación with a field of study in Information Technology from ADEN International Business School. In terms of additional certifications, they have certifications in Innovation Management from the Global Innovation Management Institute in 2018 and as a Big Data Consultant from Arcitura Education Inc. in 2017. Luz Andrea is also in the process of certifying as CGEIT DE COBIT – Gobierno de Tecnología with COBIT Colombia.
