Garrett Klunk is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in flight testing and aerospace engineering. Currently serving as a Flight Test Engineer at Zone 5 Technologies since November 2025, Garrett previously held multiple roles at Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc., including Senior Aerospace Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, and Aerospace Engineering Intern from June 2017 to November 2025. Garrett was also the Aerodynamics Lead at Cal Poly Prototype Vehicles Laboratory, focusing on the design and performance optimization of a solar-powered car, and worked as a Wind Tunnel Laboratory Assistant at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, contributing to curriculum redesign and wind tunnel refurbishment. Early experience includes a Structural Analysis Internship at Lynnhaven Engineering PC. Garrett earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering - Aeronautics from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2017.
